How It Works
The Gematria Calculator assigns numeric values to letters and calculates the total for your input across multiple cipher systems spanning different writing systems and historical traditions. Beyond instant calculations, it integrates seamlessly with your research workspace: load saved words from your custom databases, save any word to your databases for future reference, and see real-time Known Number matches with interactive tooltips as you calculate.
Each cipher uses different letter-to-number mappings:
- English (Ordinal): A=1, B=2, C=3... Z=26
- Full Reduction: Reduces to single digit (A=1, J=1, S=1)
- Reverse: Z=1, Y=2, X=3... A=26
- Sumerian: English × 6 (A=6, B=12, C=18...)
- Satanic: English + 35 (A=36, B=37...)
- Jewish: Traditional Hebrew numbering system
- Hebrew: Traditional gematria with Hebrew characters (א-ת)
- Greek: Isopsephy with archaic letters (α-ω, ϝϛϙϡ)
- Arabic: Abjad numerals with Arabic script (ا-غ)
- Russian: Cyrillic and Glagolitic numbering systems

Core vs Extended Ciphers:
